Market Commentary
- Busan Mar 28 Bunker fuel prices in Busan were stable while MDO & MGO showed some gains. Demand was below average today. Avails are still tight and expected to ease only in April.
- Hong Kong Mar 28 Bunker prices in Hong Kong gained across all grades. Some traders are unable to offer 380cst due to no avails. Demand was average. Some barging congestion reported. Earliest delivery date April 4 onwards.
- Kaohsiung Mar 28 Taiwan state-owned CPC Corp (CPC) adjusted official bunker prices on March 28. Bunker fuel prices shot up $12pmt while gas oil gained about $10pmt.
- Singapore Mar 28 NYMEX crude gained about $2 to close at $107.58/BBL last night on crude pipeline disruption in Iraq due to an explosion. Globex is showing losses.05:56pm – Fueloil cargo closed only slightly firm while Gasoil cargo concluded bullish by about $2.00/BBL. Bunker prices gained across all grades. Some barge congestion heard for prompt delivery.11:27am – Fueloil paper opened firmer today by about $3pmt while Gasoil was pegged quite bullish by about $2.00/BBL, Wired reported.
- Tokyo Mar 28 Bunker prices in Tokyo gained across all grades. Demand was thin. Avails are still tight but replenishment is expected on the second week of April. Prices for western ports are quoted as 380cst = $600, 180cst = $605 and MDO = $880.
- Bangkok Mar 26 Some fuel oil tightness and slight barge congestion heard in Bangkok.
- Karachi Mar 26 MDO is currently unavailable.
- Manila Mar 26 240cst offered at $562 pmt.
